As long as you avoid dumping points into magic stats or luck (unless you really want to build that way), you'll be fine.ħ. there is a way to respec you will find about halfway through the game.
Quality builds require you to level a bit more, and get you Dex & Str about equal.Ħ.
as far as builds go, can't go wrong leveling to around 20 in Vitality, 20-30 in Endurance, and picking one melee stat (Dex or Str) to go about 40 in. Besides, it's easy to find spots to grind back up to what you had and beyond if you're super concerned about thatĥ. As soon as you start worrying about what you'll lose upon death, you've already lost. use a guide to get cool items in levels, you'll miss important items like the chloranthy ring (raise stamina regen) otherwiseĤ. Heavier weapons, magic, etc are all super satisfying but more difficult.ģ. lighter swords like the longsword, dark sword, broadsword play into DS3's faster combat very well, you can R1 spam your way to victory if you manage your stamina well. magic is unwieldy and not intuitive for beginners, maybe play around a bit with it to get the feel but dont make a magic buildĢ. Knight is best because it comes with a 100% physical block shield (which you want to help acclimate to the combat and stamina managemet) and a longsword (one of the best weapons in the game).ĭS3 was my first Dark Soulz game and I actually consider it the most difficult to boot.
